The cultural competencies of the researcher-practitioner in an Aboriginal environment in a perspective of transferring expertise from a psychosocial sports program to youth.

The project was carried out in partnership with an Aboriginal community in Quebec. This presentation focuses on the mechanisms of action and the postures of the practitioner-researcher to promote the implementation of a psychosocial sport program adapted to the Aboriginal context. More specifically, the objectives of this research were to document the role of the practitioner-researcher as an initiator of the project and to document what makes the educators' intervention positive (who they are and what they do). The sports project corresponded to the realization of a great sports challenge, declined in three components (running, cycling and canoeing) in connection with the cultural realities of the community and their will.
